LEAKED: Moto G6 Play And Its box contents by TheTechKushal.tk

The Moto G6 Play popped up on Geekbench, and is seen to sport a Snapdragon 430 SoC, which was also reported before. This SoC is relatively old as it was launched in 2015. The handset is also rumoured to come with 3GB RAM, and run Android 8.0 Oreo. The latest leak adds to the previous leaks, which say that the Moto G6 Play will sport a 5.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display and pack a 4000mAh battery. As per the listing, the Motorola Moto G6 Play has a score of 1801 points in multi-core performance and 472 in the single-core.

Motorola is reportedly set to launch its next-generation of smartphones in the G series - Moto G6 Play, Moto G6, and Moto G6 Plus - this year. According to latest reports, the smartphones have been codenamed Ashley, Blaine, and Teller respectively. Also, while there have been reports earlier, the Moto G6 Play leaked on a benchmarking site yet again.

Moto G6 Play leaked renders show the phone from all sides

Much like other modern smartphones, it rumored to feature a 2:1 near bezel-less display, with a 1440 x 720 (HD+) resolution. From the images, we can also tell the fingerprint sensor will be on the back, and Lenovo will be throwing in a headphone jack and a micro USB port as well.

The company typically tacks “Play” onto a phone’s name to signal that it has long battery life, and that appears to be the case again here. The G6 Play is expected to have a 4,000mAh battery. That should provide pretty excellent endurance when paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 that’s allegedly inside. The overall look of the G6 Play continues the design shift that Motorola began with the Moto X4.

The debut of the Moto G6 Play at NCC has been confirmed through some leaked images, as reported by TrendyTechz. The images show that the new handset has a design similar to the Moto X4, with two camera sensors on the back. The smartphone appears to feature an under 6-inch display panel, rumoured as a 5.7-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) one, with thin bezels. Further, the images sourced from NCC highlight a Micro-USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as confirm a back-facing fingerprint sensor. The smartphone also seems to sport a front-facing LED flash.

The Moto G6 Play is shown from the front and back, neither of which tell us anything we didn’t know already. Motorola will indeed stretch the display for 18:9 aspect ratio, and it’ll utilize a Moto X4-like appearance at least on the back.

Motorola decided against announcing new hardware at MWC 2017, so naturally whatever the company has planned showed up in a new leak. This time it’s the Moto G6 Play, the most affordable member of the upcoming trio, getting spotted on camera. The Taiwanese government is actually providing us with this leak since it needed to certify the device prior to being released. Advertisement
